How they work
Aluminum blade roof rotates 0–170°. Open for breeze and sun, close to a watertight roof with one button. Most have rain sensors that auto-close.
Cost
10×14 motorized louvered: $22K–$38K installed. 16×20: $35K–$55K. Add integrated heaters, lighting, screens: another $4K–$12K. Brands we install: Struxure, Renson, Equinox.
Worth it if
- You want to use the patio in summer afternoons (open = shade + breeze).
