Our Arizona contractor licenses
AE Outdoor Living (Advant-Edge Pools & Landscape LLC) holds the following Arizona Registrar of Contractors licenses. Qualifying Party: David Lyle Bell. Each license is active and in good standing — verify at roc.az.gov.
- AZ ROC 340966 — R-62 (Minor Home Improvements)
- AZ ROC 341002 — R-3 (Awnings, Canopies, Carports and Patio Covers)
- AZ ROC 347738 — KA-5 (Dual Swimming Pool Contractor)
- AZ ROC 211530 — CR-21 (Hardscaping and Irrigation Systems)
You can verify any AZ ROC license at roc.az.gov/contractor-search.
Bonded and insured
We carry the contractor bonds required by AZ ROC for each license class, general liability insurance, commercial auto, and workers' compensation. Certificates of insurance are available on request — contact support@aeoutdoorliving.com.
Written contract requirement
Arizona law requires a written contract for any residential construction project over $1,000 (ARS §32-1158). Every AE project is built on a signed written agreement that includes scope, materials, schedule, payment terms, change-order process, warranty, and a statement of your right to file a complaint with the AZ ROC.
How to file a complaint with the AZ ROC
If you ever have a dispute we can't resolve directly, you have the right to file a complaint with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors. AZ ROC complaints must be filed within two years of the date of occupancy or the last work performed, whichever is later.
- Online: roc.az.gov/file-complaint
- Phone: (877) MY-AZROC / (877) 692-9762
- Mail: Registrar of Contractors, 1700 W. Washington St., Suite 105, Phoenix, AZ 85007
Residential Contractors' Recovery Fund — statutory notice
"Residential contractors are required by Arizona law to provide this notice: Residential contractors are licensed and regulated by the Registrar of Contractors. If you have a complaint against a residential contractor, you may contact the Registrar at 1700 W. Washington St., Suite 105, Phoenix, AZ 85007. Eligible homeowners who suffer actual damages caused by an act or omission of a licensed residential contractor that constitutes a violation of contractor licensing statutes or rules may recover from the Residential Contractors' Recovery Fund pursuant to ARS §32-1131 et seq."
Recovery Fund eligibility requires that the homeowner own and reside in the property, that the licensee was licensed at the time the contract was entered into, and that the damages result from a violation of contractor licensing law. Recovery is capped per dwelling and per licensee — see AZ ROC for current limits and the claim process. AE includes this notice in every residential contract.
Bond & insurance details
AE maintains the AZ ROC-required license bonds for each license class, commercial general liability insurance, commercial auto, and workers' compensation covering every AE crew member on the job site. Subcontracted trade partners (pool plumbing, electrical, gas) are independently licensed and required to carry their own bond, GL, and workers' comp; we keep current Certificates of Insurance on file for each. Request a COI for your project at any time by emailing support@aeoutdoorliving.com.
Insurance information — what we display and why
What we say publicly: We carry the contractor bonds required by AZ ROC for each license class, general liability insurance, commercial auto, and workers' compensation covering every crew member on the job site.
What we do not post publicly: Specific insurance carrier names, policy numbers, coverage limits, or Workers' Compensation policy details. We intentionally keep this information off the website and out of public marketing materials.
- Carrier names and policy numbers change over time as we renew or move coverage.
- Posting coverage limits can be misleading if a reader assumes those limits apply to their specific project or time frame.
- Insurance documentation is shared directly with the party that needs it — you, your lender, your HOA, or the permitting authority — not broadcast to the general public.
If you need proof of insurance for your project, we provide current Certificates of Insurance (COI) on request, typically within one business day. Email support@aeoutdoorliving.com with the name and address you want listed as the certificate holder.
Advertising & license disclosure (ARS §32-1124)
Arizona law requires licensed contractors to display the ROC license number in all advertising. Our license numbers and classifications appear in the footer of every page of this site, on our trucks, signage, proposals, and contracts. If you ever see AE advertising without a visible ROC number, it isn't us — please report it to support@aeoutdoorliving.com.
Lien rights
Under Arizona's mechanics' lien law, persons providing labor or materials may have a right to file a lien against your property if they are not paid. AE pays our suppliers and trade partners directly and provides conditional and unconditional lien waivers with every progress payment and at completion. Request copies any time.
Permits and code
AE pulls all required permits in your name as the property owner and works to applicable IRC/IPC, AZ pool barrier code (ARS §36-1681), local jurisdiction amendments, and HOA rules. We do not perform work that requires a permit without pulling one.

If something isn't right, please tell us first. Email support@aeoutdoorliving.com or call (623) 300-2589. We resolve nearly every issue directly when we know about it. Your right to escalate to AZ ROC is never affected by contacting us.
