Warranty

A two-year workmanship summary, and the contract that controls it.

AE provides a two-year workmanship warranty unless a signed agreement states otherwise. Manufacturer warranties apply where applicable and vary by product. Your signed agreement and manufacturer documentation control coverage.

Warranty coverage is non-transferable unless the signed agreement states otherwise. Third-party alteration or repair to AE-installed work may affect coverage.

3 · Manufacturer warranties

How manufacturer coverage works

Pool equipment, lighting, appliances, glass hardware, paver products, turf materials, and many other components carry their own warranties issued by the manufacturer. Terms, lengths, registration requirements, and proof-of-purchase rules vary by product and brand. At project handoff, AE registers eligible products in the homeowner's name and provides the product documentation in your handoff packet. AE is not the warrantor of manufacturer products — claims against a manufacturer warranty are made under the manufacturer's terms.

4 · Common exclusions

What is generally not covered

  • Natural material variation (color, texture, veining) is not automatically a defect.
  • Settling, efflorescence, hairline and minor surface cracking — subject to the contract's exclusions.
  • Misuse, neglect, or use outside the intended purpose of the installed system.
  • Weather, monsoon, hail, wind, freeze, flood, and other acts of nature.
  • Pet damage, including digging, chewing, urine staining, and tear-out.
  • Heat reflection or radiated heat damage from adjacent windows or surfaces.
  • Water chemistry imbalance (pool, spa, water feature) and chemical staining.
  • Routine maintenance items the homeowner is responsible for.
  • Damage caused by third-party trades, alterations, or repairs after AE handoff.

Each item is subject to the specific terms of your signed contract. This list is illustrative, not exhaustive.

5 · Customer care responsibilities

What we ask homeowners to do

  • Follow the care guidance handed off at project completion.
  • Maintain proper water chemistry and equipment cleaning on pools and water features.
  • Keep drainage paths clear of debris, soil build-up, and landscaping changes.
  • Schedule manufacturer-required service intervals (heaters, controllers, pumps).
  • Use only qualified, licensed trades for any modification, repair, or addition.
  • Notify AE of any concern in writing as soon as it is observed.

Care guides for pavers, turf, lighting, pool care, outdoor kitchens, and glass are available in the support library.

6 · Prepare your claim

What to have ready

  • Locate your signed proposal or contract number if available.
  • Note when the issue was first observed and whether it is changing.
  • Take clear photos of the affected area — wide context and close-up.
  • List any third-party work, repairs, or chemicals applied to the area.
  • Flag any urgent safety concern so we can prioritize triage.
7 · Warranty request form

Submit a warranty request

Use this form for any non-emergency warranty review. A human AE coordinator reviews every submission — AI tools cannot approve or deny warranty coverage.

For emergencies — active leaks, electrical hazards, unstable structures, broken pool barriers, or immediate safety risks — stop using the affected area and contact the appropriate emergency or licensed service provider. This form is for non-emergency warranty review.
Urgent safety concern?

By submitting, you confirm that the website is general planning information and that your signed agreement and manufacturer documentation control warranty coverage. AI tools do not approve or deny coverage; a human AE coordinator reviews every request.

8 · After you submit

What happens next

  1. A human AE warranty coordinator confirms receipt and reviews the request.
  2. We compare the issue against your signed agreement and the applicable manufacturer documentation.
  3. If a site visit is required, we schedule it; if a manufacturer claim is required, we route it.
  4. You receive a written response with the coverage decision and next steps.
9 · The signed agreement controls

This page describes AE's general warranty framework for planning purposes. Your signed proposal and project agreement — together with applicable manufacturer documentation — control the actual coverage, length, exclusions, and process that apply to your project. Warranty coverage is non-transferable unless your agreement states otherwise. Third-party alteration or repair may affect coverage.
