Best Paver Brands in Arizona — Belgard vs Techo-Bloc vs Pavestone vs System Pavers
Not all pavers are equal. Here's how the major manufacturers actually compare on durability, color stability, and how they perform in AZ specifically.
Belgard (we install most)
Strongest product line for AZ — Mirage porcelain, Dura Fusion, Catalina Slate. Excellent color stability under UV, full lifetime structural warranty, deepest dealer support in the Valley. Premium pricing but the value over 20 years is unmatched.
Techo-Bloc
Canadian premium brand, beautiful product, especially Borealis and Blu 60. Slightly higher price than Belgard. Slightly thinner dealer support locally — sourcing replacement units 10 years from now is a question.
Pavestone (Home Depot)
Budget option. Fine for utility walkways and low-visibility areas. Color fades noticeably in AZ sun by year 5–7. Not what we install on premium projects.
System Pavers (national install company)
Not a paver brand — an installer. They install Belgard and other major brands. Their crews are fine; their pricing tends to be higher than local installers like us using the same exact products.
What we install by default
Belgard for premium projects (95% of what we build). Techo-Bloc when a specific Borealis pattern is the design vision. We do not install Pavestone on AE-quality builds.
