A note on the numbers

This isn't a cost. It's an investment.

The figures on this page are real and we don't hide them — that's how AE operates. Treat them as planning ranges, not a site-specific quote. Your actual scope and price depend on design, site conditions, materials, and the work each written proposal includes.

When you compare proposals, compare what each includes — the scope, the materials, the exclusions, the warranty terms, and how changes are handled — not just the price tag. A lower total can reflect different scope, so ask each builder to clarify the differences.

Gilbert

Frameless Glass Pool Fencing in Gilbert. Specified to your deck, priced in writing.

Frameless glass pool fence installation throughout Gilbert — Seville, Agritopia, Val Vista Lakes, Power Ranch, Morrison Ranch, Layton Lakes and Whitewing. AE uses minimum 1/2-inch tempered safety glass with a permanent temper mark on every installed panel, a five-foot planning baseline for a swimming-pool barrier, and Duplex 2205 stainless core-mount spigots, with the mounting detail approved for your deck and the barrier requirements you confirm with the Town of Gilbert or the applicable AHJ built into the approved design.

The honest version: Gilbert yards are family yards. The questions we get here are about gate hardware, panel gaps, and how the barrier behaves day to day with kids and dogs — not just how it looks. The decision that actually drives the install is the mount: the right spigot is the one your verified substrate and the approved detail support, not the one in the photo. We check the deck on the walk, spec the hardware to what is really there, and write it into the proposal. And no fence, gate or barrier replaces active adult supervision — keep an undistracted adult Water Watcher on duty whenever children are in or near water.

Where we install in Gilbert

Seville, Agritopia, Val Vista Lakes, Power Ranch, Morrison Ranch, Layton Lakes and Whitewing — plus the surrounding neighborhoods. Every project is field-measured after approval and each panel is individually sized and ordered for your exact layout, so a Gilbert install is a custom-built system, not an off-the-shelf fence kit.

02

What a Gilbert glass fence costs

  • Installed glass fencing: generally $225–$325 per linear foot.
  • Gates, specialty glass systems, upgraded glass and custom hardware are quoted separately after the layout and specifications are confirmed.
  • Footing work, where an approved structural detail requires it, is an add-on: typically $75–$100 per linear foot in open or new areas, or $110–$125 per linear foot where pavers, turf or similar finish must be removed and reinstalled.
  • These are planning ranges, not quotes. Measured conditions, access, restoration, the approved structural detail and the signed scope control final pricing.

03

What we verify before hardware is specified

  • The structural substrate under the fence line — slab, bond beam or engineered footing. Never pavers, sand setting bed or ABC alone.
  • Whether the deck is post-tension. AE will not drill a post-tension slab without written homeowner permission plus documented tendon locating such as an appropriate scan or clear professional marking.
  • Panel layout, gate placement and sightlines, measured on site.
  • Many Gilbert master-planned communities run an architectural review in parallel with the town's barrier requirement.
04

Barrier points to confirm for your Gilbert property

  • Required barrier height, confirmed with the Town of Gilbert or the applicable AHJ. AE's planning baseline is five feet.
  • Vertical gap limits between panels, as confirmed for your project — a 4-inch sphere is the figure commonly cited.
  • Bottom gap between glass and deck, held to the limit confirmed for your project.
  • Self-closing and self-latching gate operation, with latch placement, shielding and release height confirmed for your project.
  • A top edge that does not offer a handhold or foothold for climbing.
  • No barrier replaces active adult supervision — always watch children around water and use layers of protection.
FAQ

Common questions.

Installed glass fencing generally ranges from $225–$325 per linear foot. Final pricing depends on total footage, gates, glass selection, hardware, mounting conditions, access, engineering requirements and site conditions. Specialty glass systems, gates, upgraded glass and custom hardware are quoted separately after the layout and specifications are confirmed.

It can, when the system is designed and installed for the site and the requirements confirmed for that project. A.R.S. §36-1681(B)(1) states that a barrier within the statute's scope must be at least five feet high. The statute contains exceptions and permits equal or more stringent local ordinances, so the customer must confirm the requirement for the specific property with the applicable municipality or AHJ. AE's planning baseline and recommendation for a swimming-pool barrier is a five-foot barrier system. Confirming the governing requirements with the municipality or AHJ and, where applicable, your HOA and insurer is the customer's responsibility before final approval. AE installs the approved written scope and does not guarantee municipal, HOA, insurer, permit or inspection approval.

Glass is a common choice across Gilbert, but each association sets its own current design standards and its own review process, and we cannot tell you what any named community accepts today. Many Gilbert master-planned communities run an architectural review in parallel with the town's barrier requirement. Confirming the current guideline with your HOA or ARC, and the barrier requirement with the Town of Gilbert or the applicable AHJ, is the customer's responsibility before final approval. Who prepares and submits the architectural package, and what AE coordinates on your behalf, is defined in your written scope. AE does not guarantee HOA, municipal, insurer, permit or inspection approval.

Duplex 2205 stainless core-mount spigots are AE's standard fence detail — a 5-inch core-drilled hole with 4-inch embedment into concrete, set with rapid-setting anchoring cement. Bolt-down mounting is used only where the approved condition and an engineered or manufacturer-approved detail support it. Either way, the hardware has to anchor into a structural slab, bond beam or engineered footing — never into a paver, a sand setting bed or compacted aggregate (ABC) alone. The substrate is verified before hardware is specified.

AE uses a minimum of 1/2-inch tempered safety glass on every Sonoran Glass fence, with a permanent temper mark on every installed panel. AE's planning baseline and recommendation for a swimming-pool barrier is a five-foot barrier system. Every panel is field-measured and custom fabricated for the approved layout — sized, cut, edge-worked, holed and notched before tempering, because a tempered panel cannot be field cut. Tempered glass is safety glazing: it is designed to break into relatively small granular pieces rather than large jagged shards, though pieces can still be sharp and no glazing makes injury impossible.

Workmanship coverage is set out in your signed scope, and the glass and hardware carry whatever coverage the manufacturer documents for the products selected for your project. Both are reviewed with you before you sign.
