Glendale Turf & Paver Backyard Upgrade

At this documented Glendale project, AE Outdoor Living integrated artificial turf, paver hardscape, desert rock landscaping and low-voltage lighting around the poolside layout. Curved turf edges and inset paver steps connect the covered patio, seating and planted rock areas into one cohesive outdoor space. The documented AE scope shown here is the surrounding turf, hardscape, landscaping and lighting coordinated around the poolside layout. The pool, pool deck, slide, house and patio cover are shown as site context; this record does not claim AE built, remodeled, resurfaced, repaired, or permitted them.

The Goal

Coordinate the documented turf, hardscape, planting and lighting around the poolside layout so the backyard reads as one connected space instead of separate leftover areas.

The Challenge

The curved poolside layout and multiple surface transitions had to meet cleanly while retaining a direct walking route across the yard.

The AE Solution

AE shaped the artificial turf in long curves against paver borders, set square paver stepping pads and a curved walkway on the main traffic route, edged the desert-rock planting areas against the lawn, and placed low-voltage path lights through the planting beds and along the turf edge.

Key Features
Curved artificial turf lawn

Turf shaped in long curves from the covered patio around to the poolside area.

Inset paver stepping pads

Square paver pads set into the turf so the main walking route runs on hard surface.

Curved paver walkway

A walkway crossing the turf between the home, covered patio and poolside area.

Paver borders and transitions

Paver edging where turf, rock landscaping and patio surfaces meet.

Desert rock landscaping

Rock-lined planting areas bordering the turf and the poolside area.

Low-voltage landscape lighting

Path and landscape lights layered through the planting beds and along the turf.

What we learned on this build

When a yard combines a pool with turf, hardscape, planting and lighting, the surrounding work is what makes the space feel finished. The pool, pool deck, slide, house and patio cover are shown as site context; this record does not claim AE built, remodeled, resurfaced, repaired, or permitted them.
