The AE Phoenix glass fence install spec

• 1/2" tempered safety glass with a permanent temper mark on every installed panel; a different build-up only where project engineering or manufacturer documentation calls for it.
• Duplex 2205 stainless core-mount spigots as AE's standard fence detail — a 5-inch core-drilled hole with 4-inch embedment into concrete, set with Rapid Set rapid-setting anchoring cement. Bolt-down mounting only where the approved condition and detail support it.
• Where a footing is required, an 8-inch-by-8-inch footing with continuous rebar, subject to site conditions, the approved design, engineering, manufacturer requirements, the AHJ and the signed scope.
• Anchorage into approved structural concrete or an approved footing — never into pavers, a sand setting bed or compacted aggregate base alone.
• On a post-tension slab, AE does not drill without documented homeowner permission plus documented professional tendon locating — an appropriate scan or x-ray, or clear professional marking — and normally recommends an approved separate footing outside the slab where practical.
• Spigot spacing planned to glass panel size and the wind load used for the approved design — never 'eyeballed.'
• Self-closing, self-latching gate hardware (primarily Polaris, not exclusively; approved alternates are named in the written scope) set to the latch release height confirmed for your project with the authority having jurisdiction.
• Gap beneath the fence held to the limit confirmed for your project with the authority having jurisdiction.
• Five feet is AE's pool-barrier planning baseline within the scope of A.R.S. §36-1681; exceptions and the adopted local, AHJ, HOA, insurer and project requirements control the final height, and confirming them is the customer's responsibility.
• Optional glass coating (ClearShield or Diamon-Fusion) where the homeowner wants it; what the coating does and how long it is covered are set by the coating manufacturer for the product selected.
• Where permit or inspection support is part of the signed scope, AE participates in that process and provides the documentation the project produces; approval itself rests with the authority, and AE does not guarantee municipal, HOA, insurer or inspection approval.
• Workmanship coverage stated in your signed scope, plus the manufacturer glass and hardware warranties documented for the products selected.
