Glass Pool Fence Cost in Arizona

Installed glass fencing generally ranges from $225–$325 per linear foot. Final pricing depends on total footage, gates, glass selection, hardware, mounting conditions, access, engineering requirements and site conditions.

Here's what actually drives the number — so you can plan a real budget before the quote.

What affects cost

Real variables we estimate against:

  • Total linear footage and panel count
  • Panel height (typically approximately 5' for pool barrier)
  • Glass type — 1/2-inch tempered safety glass standard; low-iron upgrade available where approved
  • Hardware finish — brushed stainless, chrome, matte black, custom
  • Gate count and gate hardware
  • Surface conditions — new pour, existing concrete, pavers, decking
  • Core drilling vs. base shoe mount
  • Layout complexity — straight runs vs. corners, returns, steps
  • Code-required hardware (self-closing, self-latching gates)

Planning range

Installed glass fencing generally ranges from $225–$325 per linear foot. For comparison, current Arizona planning ranges are mesh $40–$48, wrought iron $140–$240 and powder-coated aluminum $65–$110 per linear foot installed. Gates, specialty systems, upgraded glass and hardware, coatings, engineering, demolition and repair scopes are quoted separately unless a signed proposal states otherwise. Where a footing is required it is an add-on to the glass range: typically $75–$100 per linear foot in open or new areas, and typically $110–$125 per linear foot where existing pavers, turf or similar finish must be removed and reinstalled. On a post-tension slab, AE does not drill without documented homeowner permission plus documented professional tendon locating, and normally recommends an approved separate footing outside the slab where practical.

What a base install scope covers

The base scope covers the fence itself. Whether gates, coatings, specialty systems, engineering and service visits are included, and how each is itemized or priced, is set by the accepted written scope for your project:

  • Site measurement and layout
  • 1/2-inch tempered safety glass panels per the approved spec, with a permanent temper mark on every installed panel
  • Hardware and mounting system per the approved detail
  • Installation and adjustment
  • Separately quoted: gates and gate hardware
  • Separately quoted: hydrophobic or ceramic coating
  • Separately quoted: footing work, engineering, demolition and repair scopes
  • Warranty terms are the workmanship coverage stated in your signed scope plus the current manufacturer documentation for the products selected
FAQs
Why are gates so much per gate?+

Gate cost includes the hardware, post and hinge sizing, the self-closing and self-latching configuration required for the approved project, and adjustment time. They're the hardest-working part of the fence, and they are quoted separately from the fence run.

Can I save money with shorter panels?+

Around a pool, panel height is set by the project's approved barrier requirements and the applicable authority. Outside the pool barrier, shorter is an option.

Is core drilling always required?+

No. It depends on the mounting method in the approved detail — base shoe and bolt-down surface-mount systems do not use it, and spigots can be core-mounted or bolted down. Core mounting is AE's standard for glass fencing: a 5-inch core-drilled hole with 4-inch embedment into concrete, set with Rapid Set rapid-setting anchoring cement, with bolt-down used only where project conditions or the approved installation detail require it. Where a footing is required, AE's baseline is an 8-inch-by-8-inch reinforced footing with continuous rebar, subject to the approved structural detail. The approved detail and verified substrate for your property control the method used.

Are hydrophobic or ceramic coatings included in the price?+

Whether a coating is available, compatible with the glass and hardware selected, included, and how it is priced is set by the current AE offering, the coating manufacturer's documentation for the product installed, and the accepted written scope for your project. The base fence installation covers panels, hardware, and labor; confirm what your proposal includes before you sign it.
