A note on the numbers

This isn't a cost. It's an investment.

The figures on this page are real and we don't hide them — that's how AE operates. But we want to be honest about how to read them. Your municipal or institutional paver project isn't a line-item expense; it's an investment in your home's value, your family's daily experience, and a space you'll use for the next twenty to thirty years.

When you compare bids, compare what you're investing in — the spec, the crews, the warranty, the company that will still be standing in year ten — not just the price tag. The lowest bid is almost always the most expensive build over time.

Municipal & streetscape

Municipal & Streetscape Pavers Arizona.

Downtown streetscape, sidewalks, crosswalks and bump-outs, plazas, park walks, church and school walks, civic-building entries, transit pads, and cemetery walks across Arizona. Jurisdiction-spec bid, historic-district match, phased with traffic control and service schedules.

The honest version: Municipal paver work has three killers: jurisdiction spec ignored (rejected submittal, re-do), traffic-control plan skipped (permit denied, delay), and historic-district review missed (design commission blocks the color). AE runs jurisdiction protocol: adopted streetscape manual pulled first, sample board through design review before mobilization, and traffic-control plan submitted with the bid. Church and school jobs get phasing that respects the calendar.

FAQ

Common questions.

Downtown streetscape and sidewalk replacement, crosswalks and bump-outs, plaza and monument entries, park pathways and pavilion aprons, church and school walks and drop-off aprons, library and civic-building entries, transit-stop pads, and cemetery walks across Arizona.

Yes, with jurisdiction approval. AE bids to city and ADOT paver specifications where they exist, submits shop drawings and product data through the standard submittal process, and coordinates with the traffic-control sub on any lane-closure or crosswalk phasing required. Downtown streetscapes typically follow the jurisdiction's adopted streetscape manual.

Paver color, pattern, unit size, and joint layout can be matched to any historic-district guideline. AE brings a sample board through the design-review or historic-preservation commission before mobilization. Common in downtown Phoenix, Prescott, Bisbee, Flagstaff, and Tucson historic districts.

Bid on written phasing that respects service schedules, class days, and event calendars. Sunday-morning walks re-opened by Saturday afternoon. School walks phased around drop-off, dismissal, and recess. Additional-insured COI to the diocese / district / trustees pre-mobilization. Background-checked crews on active campus work where required.

Yes — brick-pattern crosswalks, paver bump-outs at corners, and colored-band pavers matched to the city's streetscape guidelines. Full traffic-control plan submitted with the bid. Crosswalk assemblies use vehicular-rated pavers, 6–8 inch ABC base, and steel edge restraint into concrete haunch at every edge that meets asphalt.
