Pool-barrier requirements vary by municipality and HOA and are verified for each project. Common baseline items to review with your local jurisdiction include:

• Barrier height: A.R.S. §36-1681(B)(1) states that a barrier within the statute's scope must be at least five feet high. The statute contains exceptions and permits equal or more stringent local ordinances, so the customer must confirm the requirement for the specific property with the applicable municipality or AHJ. What to verify before you buy

Anchorage is a structural detail, not a fence-post detail. Ask for the mounting method and substrate in writing, confirm the glass thickness and the permanent temper mark on each panel, confirm the hardware alloy and manufacturer, and confirm who is responsible for the permit and inspection path in your municipality.
