A note on the numbers

This isn't a cost. It's an investment.

The figures on this page are real and we don't hide them — that's how AE operates. But we want to be honest about how to read them. Your commercial putting green isn't a line-item expense; it's an investment in your home's value, your family's daily experience, and a space you'll use for the next twenty to thirty years.

When you compare bids, compare what you're investing in — the spec, the crews, the warranty, the company that will still be standing in year ten — not just the price tag. The lowest bid is almost always the most expensive build over time.

Commercial

Commercial putting greens in Arizona, PGA-spec drainage, stimp-tuned turf, written scope.

AE Outdoor Living designs and installs commercial putting greens across Arizona — resort practice greens, country-club short-game complexes, corporate campus amenities, senior-living community greens, HOA greens, and full training facilities. Every green is engineered for the traffic load, tuned to a target stimp, and documented in a written maintenance handoff.

The honest version: Most commercial putting greens in Arizona are backyard specs installed at commercial scale — 2–3" of quarter minus and a nailed-down face. They putt fine for 90 days, then the seams open, the cups sink, the fringe tears, and the stimp is unrecoverable. Commercial greens fail from under the turf, not from the turf itself. Base, drainage, and cup infrastructure are 70% of a real commercial green — if a bidder is talking about turf gauge before they're talking about laser-graded ABC, catch basins, and cup sleeves, they're bidding a backyard.

Commercial verticals we build

  • Resort and hotel practice greens — arrival-court amenities, poolside greens, guest greens.
  • Country-club short-game and chipping complexes with sand traps and multi-station play.
  • Corporate campus amenity greens for retention and event space.
  • Senior-living community greens — ADA-connected, low-fall-risk fringe.
  • PGA / instruction training greens with quantified undulation and consistency zones.
  • HOA / master-planned amenity greens.
  • Restaurants, breweries, and entertainment venues.
  • Auto and RV dealership experience greens.
02

Commercial putting-green investment ranges

  • Small amenity green (300–600 sq ft, 2–4 cups, single break): $18,000–$45,000.
  • Mid-size resort / country-club practice green (800–2,000 sq ft, 4–8 cups, chipping fringe, undulation): $45,000–$140,000.
  • Full training complex or championship-tuned resort green (2,000–8,000+ sq ft, sand traps, chipping stations, PGA-spec drainage): $140,000–$600,000+.
  • Every line item priced in writing — turf SKU, base depth, drainage plan, cup count, fringe LF.
03

What a real commercial green spec includes

  • Laser-graded ABC base — 4–6" compacted in lifts, engineered to target percolation.
  • PGA-style drainage — perimeter and internal catch basins tied to storm.
  • Cup infrastructure — commercial cup sleeves set in concrete collars, not press-in cups.
  • Premium putting-green face — nylon or polyethylene, 15–20mm pile, tuned infill.
  • Fringe / chipping ring integration with proper transition seaming.
  • Undulation and break — designed to a stimp target, not eyeballed.
  • Path and ADA connections engineered with the green, not bolted on.
04

Operator handoff at closeout

  • Written maintenance program — brushing schedule, infill top-up cadence, cup rotation.
  • Stimp readings at 5 documented points with a target range.
  • Cup lift and re-set schedule to keep wear evenly distributed.
  • Warranty registration and manufacturer documentation.
  • Named service contact for warranty callbacks.
05

Why commercial owners choose AE

  • President of the Southwest Hardscapes Association on ownership.
  • In-house crews across base, drainage, turf, and hardscape.
  • 3-year workmanship warranty; 8–15 year manufacturer turf warranty.
  • Full COI with ownership added as additional insured.
  • HOA / design-review submittals handled in-house.
FAQ

Common questions.

Resort and hotel practice greens, country-club short-game and chipping complexes, corporate campus greens, senior-living community greens, golf-instruction training greens, HOA amenity greens, restaurant/entertainment venue greens, and dealership/experience-center putting features. Full turnkey — grading, drainage, stimp-tuned turf, cups, breaks, fringe, ball washers, benches, shade.

Small amenity greens (300–600 sq ft, 2–4 cups, single break): $18,000–$45,000. Mid-size country-club or resort practice greens (800–2,000 sq ft, 4–8 cups, chipping fringe, undulation): $45,000–$140,000. Full training complexes and championship-tuned resort greens (2,000–8,000+ sq ft, sand traps, chipping stations, PGA-spec drainage): $140,000–$600,000+. Every line item priced in writing.

Traffic load (100+ putts per cup per day vs. household use), drainage engineering (commercial code + PGA-style catch basins vs. yard drainage), cup density (4–12 vs. 2–3), fringe/chipping integration, warranty demands (5+ years), fall-zone considerations near paths, and ADA path connections. Backyard specs won't hold up commercially; commercial specs are overbuilt for a backyard.

Site prep and drainage: 1–2 weeks. Base build with laser grading and PGA-spec compaction: 1–3 weeks. Turf install, seaming, cup setting, infill, fringe integration: 1–2 weeks. Punch and stimp tuning: 2–4 days. Total: 3–7 weeks for standard commercial greens; 8–14 weeks for full training complexes with sand traps and chipping stations.

AE 3-year workmanship warranty on the install (base, drainage, seams, cup infrastructure). Manufacturer turf warranty on face fibers, backing, and UV — typically 8–15 years on premium putting-green faces. Documented cup lift/re-set schedule and stimp maintenance program handed over at closeout.

Green itself typically doesn't. Grading over 50 cubic yards, drainage tie-ins to storm sewer, and any hardscape (paths, cart curbs, retaining) over threshold do. HOA/design-review submittals required in most master-planned and gated communities. AE handles every submittal in-house.

Yes — general liability, workers' comp, and auto with property ownership added as additional insured on the COI before mobilization. Coverage limits sized to property threshold. Bonds available on request.
