Can you install artificial turf around a pool in Arizona?
Turf around a pool is one of the most-requested AZ backyard combos — no clippings blown into the pool, no muddy edges, cool underfoot compared to concrete. Done right, it lasts.
The honest version: Use a UV-stabilized polyethylene turf (not nylon) rated for pool zones. Silica sand infill (not organic). Free-draining base so splash-out doesn't pond. Expect $10–$16/sq ft installed around pools — slightly higher than open turf due to cuts, seams, and edge details.
