Water Features for AZ Pools — Sheer Descents, Scuppers, Bubblers, Rain Curtains
Every water feature has a different sound, look, and cost. Here's what each one actually does, what it costs to add, and which ones are worth it.

Sheer descents
A smooth, wide sheet of water falling from a raised wall into the pool. The most popular AZ pool feature. Soothing white noise, dramatic at night with backlighting. $1.5K–$3K each installed (we typically install 2).
Scuppers
Decorative spouts (bronze, stone, or tile) emitting a single water stream. Classic Mediterranean look. $400–$1,500 each. Best when paired with a raised wall or spa.
Bubblers (deck jets / shelf bubblers)
Water erupts from a low point on a tanning shelf. Kid magnet, gentle sound. $300–$800 each. Almost always installed as a pair or trio.
Rain curtains / linear waterfalls
Long horizontal sheet of water (3–10 ft wide). Most architectural feature. $4K–$15K depending on length. Best for modern designs.
Pencil jets / laminar jets
Arched glass-like streams from deck to pool. Color-changing LEDs in each jet. $1.5K–$3K each. Theatrical for night entertaining.
What we recommend
Two sheer descents on a raised pool wall + three bubblers on a tanning shelf is the highest-value feature combo we install. About $5K–$8K added at build time, transforms the pool day and night.
