A note on the numbers

This isn't a cost. It's an investment.

The figures on this page are real and we don't hide them — that's how AE operates. But we want to be honest about how to read them. Your pavers & hardscape project isn't a line-item expense; it's an investment in your home's value, your family's daily experience, and a space you'll use for the next twenty to thirty years.

When you compare bids, compare what you're investing in — the spec, the crews, the warranty, the company that will still be standing in year ten — not just the price tag. The lowest bid is almost always the most expensive build over time.

How much does paver sealing cost in Arizona and is it worth it?

Paver sealing in AZ is $0.80–$2.20/sq ft depending on paver type, sealer grade, and prep. It's worth it for color depth, joint stabilization, and stain resistance — but it isn't 'set and forget.'

The honest version: Concrete pavers: sealing renews color and locks polymeric joint sand. Reseal every 3–5 years in AZ sun. Travertine: seal only with a breathable travertine-specific sealer, or you'll trap moisture and cause spalling. Natural stone flagstone: usually not sealed. Expect $1,200–$3,500 for a typical patio/driveway.

Educational estimate, not a quote. Ranges shown are Arizona-market planning estimates. Final pricing depends on site access, size, materials, engineering, drainage, utilities, permits, equipment access, existing conditions, and final scope. Binding pricing is only valid in a written proposal signed by an AE representative.

01

When sealing is worth it

  • Concrete pavers where you want deep, wet-look color.
  • High-oil areas — driveways, grill zones.
  • After polymeric joint sand refresh, to lock it in.
02

When to skip sealing

  • Newly-installed pavers — wait 30–60 days for efflorescence to clear.
  • Travertine, unless using a breathable, stone-specific product.
  • If you like the natural matte look.
