ABOUT OUR TURF

Artificial turf that actually works in Arizona backyards

We install artificial turf in Arizona yards so you get that green grass look and feel without the water waste or weekly maintenance.

Out here in Arizona, turf has gotten really popular because the products have come a long way. The newer turfs mimic real grass in both look and feel, so you still get that lush yard vibe without fighting with dead spots, muddy areas, and all the hassle. In the southwest where water is always an issue, turf is a really smart way to cut down on your water use and still have a yard you actually enjoy.

With artificial turf you are not out there mowing, overseeding, and adjusting sprinklers every season. It also helps a ton with bugs, dirt, and tracking stuff into the house, because you do not have bare patches and mud like you do with a traditional lawn. Your yard stays cleaner, and it is ready to use pretty much all the time.

There are a ton of different ways to use turf. You can do a full yard in turf, or mix it in between pavers or stone for that really high end, luxurious look without the maintenance of real grass. Whether you want a simple lawn area, strips between stepping stones, or a full-on putting green setup, we design and install the turf so it fits how you actually live in your yard.

Turf Pricing · Arizona

How Turf Pricing Really Works

Turf pricing mostly comes down to the type and weight of the turf you pick and how involved the installation is on your property.

Most installs: $6 – $12 per sq ft
Typical project total: $4,000 – $40,000+
Typical Turf Pricing

What You Can Expect Per Square Foot

We price turf by the square foot, and it really depends on the ounce weight of the product. A good 60 ounce turf installed is going to land around that $7 per square foot range, while heavier 80, 90, or 100 ounce products can push you up into the $10 to $12 per square foot range.

The cool part is that our 60 ounce turf, which is the one we install the most, is still very cost effective and carries the same warranty as the thicker turfs.

Overall, most turf installs land somewhere in that $6 to $12 per square foot range depending on the turf you choose and the details of the job. Once you start adding things like putting greens, special infills, or more complex layouts with strips and steps, you will be on the higher side of that range or a bit above.

Even with that, turf is usually cheaper than pavers and still gives you that usable “patio-like” space because it is dry, clean, and ready for furniture.

We also look at how much square footage you are doing. The more area we install, the better your per square foot pricing usually gets, because we are spreading the setup and labor over a larger area. So part of our job is helping you balance how much turf to do, which product to pick, and where to spend a little extra so you get the look and function you want without overspending.

Most backyard projects land between $4,000 – $40,000+
What Affects Pricing

The Main Cost Drivers for Turf

The main cost drivers for turf are the turf weight you choose, the complexity of the layout, and how much site prep and base work we have to do.

On the product side, turf weight makes a big difference. A solid 60 ounce turf is usually around that $7 per square foot installed range and is our most popular, most cost effective product. Once you move up into 80, 90, and 100 ounce turfs, you are stepping into the $8 to $12 per square foot range. They look and feel thicker, but they also require more infill and a little more maintenance over time, which is something to keep in mind.

  • Flat, simple areas with minimal demo and standard base work keep your pricing on the lower side.
  • Steps, stone strips, tight curves, or putting greens with cups and flags all add cost because there is more hand work, cutting, seaming, and detail involved.
  • Pet-specific infills and options like lighted cups for putting greens are great upgrades, but they do add to the total.

Square footage plays into all of this. Smaller, detailed installs can have a higher per square foot cost because there is still a lot of setup and labor. Larger yards and bigger lawns let us be more efficient, so your per square foot price usually comes down as the project size goes up. All of these pieces together are what determine where your project lands in that overall turf price range.

TURF OPTIONS & PRICING

On the good side, a quality 60 ounce turf is kind of the sweet spot. It looks great, feels good underfoot, and is very cost effective. For most standard lawn applications where you just want a nice green yard without a ton of fuss, that 60 ounce product is hard to beat and it carries the same warranty as the heavier stuff.

Installation Process

How We Turn Old Grass into a Turf Yard

The turf installation process is very step by step, and we focus on doing the base and prep the right way so your yard looks great and holds up long term.

Step by Step

What We Do on Your Install

  • 1
Kill and Remove the Existing Lawn
If you have an existing lawn, we start by killing the grass properly. Bermuda roots can grow down six feet into the ground, so sod cutting by itself is not enough. We treat the grass first for long term success, then come in with a sod cutter to remove the existing lawn, old base material, and any rock or surfaces that need to come out.
  • 2
    Build and Shape the Base
We bring in a quarter minus base material, spread it out, and compact it to a smooth, stable surface. If you want some angulation or slope for drainage or visual interest, we shape that into the base. When we remove an existing lawn, we strongly recommend a weed barrier fabric as an extra layer of protection before the turf goes down.
  • 3
Lay, Seam, and Secure the Turf
Once the base is prepped, we lay out the turf, cut it to fit, seam everything correctly, and nail it off. This is where the clean edges and tight seams make the turf look like it has always been there.
  • 4
    Infill, Groom, and Final Clean-Up
Then we bring in the infill – usually a washed, colored silica or turf sand with that salt and pepper look. For pets, we offer a special pet infill upgrade. After infill, we power broom the turf, wash everything down, and leave you with a perfect winter lawn look that stays that way year round.
Install Day on Site
Quick, Tidy, and Built by a Veteran Crew
Most standard backyards are transformed in about a day, depending on access and demo.
What to Expect

How the Install Feels at Your Home

Turf is one of the cleanest installs we do, but it is still construction, and there can be some dust and disruption while we are working.

Compared to a lot of other projects, turf installs are pretty quick and tidy. Most standard backyards can be completed in about a day, especially if access is good and we are not doing a lot of demo. Our crews have been installing turf for 30 plus years, and on the right jobs they can install 1,000 to 3,000 square feet in a day.

That said, if we are ripping out old grass, base, or other material, there will be some dust and debris while we are removing everything and bringing in the new base. If the job has a lot of cuts, seams, tight corners, or detail work, productivity goes down a bit and you might see us on site a little longer. The more complex the design, the more hand work is involved.

We always try to get in, get the work done right, and leave you with a clean yard. But it helps to know up front that there is still equipment, material piles, and some noise involved for that day or so while we are transforming your lawn into turf.

Most standard backyards are finished in about a day, with larger or more detailed projects taking a bit longer.

Timeline & Schedule

How Long a Turf Install Really Takes

Most standard turf installs are completed in about a day once we are on site, with overall timelines depending mostly on demo, size, and complexity.

≈ 1 Day
Typical Backyard Install
On the right project, our crews can install roughly 1,000 to 3,000 square feet of turf in a single day.

Once we have your design dialed in and you are on the schedule, the actual install on a typical backyard is usually a one day process. Our crews are very efficient, and on the right job they can install 1,000 to 3,000 square feet of turf in a day. That includes demo, base, turf, infill, and cleanup on a standard layout.

If there is a lot of existing yard to remove, tricky access, or more intricate designs with lots of cuts and seams, that can stretch things out a bit. Putting greens and more detailed setups sometimes take longer because of all the fine tuning involved in the contours, cups, and transitions.

From your perspective, turf is one of the fastest ways to transform your yard. We come in, handle the prep, install, and finishing, and in a very short window you go from patchy grass or rock to a clean, green, low maintenance lawn that is ready to use.

What Changes the Schedule

What Really Affects Your Turf Timeline

The things that really affect your turf timeline are how much demo we are doing, how complex the design is, and the logistics of getting in and out of your yard.

If we are removing an old lawn with deep rooted Bermuda, that adds a little time because we have to kill the grass first, then come back with a sod cutter and haul everything out before we even start the new base. The same goes for removing rock or old, failed turf that has to be stripped out.

Design complexity matters too. A basic rectangular lawn is quick. Layouts with lots of tight curves, stone steps, paver bands, or putting greens with cups and elevation changes take more cutting, more seaming, and more hand work. That can slow the crew down and push the install into a longer day or additional time on site.

Logistics, like narrow access, long wheelbarrow runs, or tricky side yards, can also affect the schedule. We plan around all of that as best we can, but it is helpful to know that the cleaner and simpler the access and layout, the faster the job will go.

Demo & Removal
Killing deep rooted Bermuda, removing rock, or stripping old turf all adds time before the new base goes in.
Design Complexity
Simple rectangles go fast. Tight curves, steps, paver bands, and putting greens mean more detail work and a longer install.
Access & Logistics
Clean, direct access keeps things moving. Narrow side yards and long wheelbarrow runs naturally slow the schedule down.

Artificial Turf Systems Built for Arizona

At AE Outdoor Living, we install complete artificial turf systems engineered for Arizona heat, soil, pets, and monsoon rain. These are the most common questions homeowners ask; answered honestly.

How Much Does Artificial Turf Cost in Arizona?

Most professionally installed turf ranges from $8 to $15 per square foot installed. The exact number depends on base prep, drainage needs, turf quality, and how accessible the site is.

Why Turf Costs More Upfront Than Grass or Gravel

Because it replaces years of water use, mowing, fertilizer, patching, and ongoing repairs. You are paying for a finished system that stays consistent without constant upkeep.

Is Cheap Artificial Turf Worth It?

No. Cheap turf usually fails early; and most failures come down to poor base prep, drainage shortcuts, and weak seams. If the foundation is wrong, the turf cannot “fix” it.

How Fast Does Turf Pay for Itself?

Typically 3 to 6 years through water and maintenance savings. Payback depends on your watering habits, yard size, and how much maintenance you currently pay for.

Does Artificial Turf Increase Home Value?

It can, especially for buyers who want a clean, low-maintenance yard and a consistent look year-round. Turf is often a strong selling point when it is installed professionally and drains correctly.

Do You Offer Financing for Turf Installation?

Yes. AE Outdoor Living offers financing options, so you can build the yard you want now while spreading payments over time.

What Affects Turf Price the Most?

The biggest cost drivers are base prep, drainage requirements, turf quality, and site access. Those factors decide how much labor and material it takes to build a stable, long-lasting surface.

Is Professional Installation Really Necessary?

Yes. Most turf failures are installation-related; not “bad turf.” A properly engineered base, clean seams, correct infill, and drainage planning are what make turf perform long-term in Arizona.

Installation & Base Prep

How Artificial Turf Is Installed Properly

The difference between turf that looks great for years and turf that fails fast is the foundation; excavation, base prep, drainage planning, and clean finishing details.

The Correct Turf Installation Process

Proper turf installation is a system, not a shortcut. The sequence matters: excavation, a compacted base, weed barrier, turf placement, clean seams, infill, and final grooming so the surface looks natural and performs right.

What Base We Use Under Turf

AE Outdoor Living installs turf over a compacted, engineered base; never dirt. This is what keeps the surface stable, improves drainage, and helps prevent ripples, low spots, and early wear.

How Thick the Base Should Be

Base depth is typically 3 to 6 inches, depending on soil conditions and how the area will be used. Heavier use areas need stronger prep so the turf stays flat, drains properly, and holds up long-term.

Can Turf Be Installed Over Dirt?

No. Installing turf directly over dirt is a shortcut that leads to movement, drainage problems, weeds, and uneven surfaces. It is not how we build; we start with proper excavation and base prep.

Can Turf Go Over Concrete or Pavers?

Yes; with correct drainage planning. The goal is to prevent trapped water and ensure the finished turf surface stays dry, stable, and comfortable underfoot.

How Long Does Turf Installation Take?

Most residential turf installs take 1 to 3 days, depending on size, access, and how much excavation and base work is required.

Installing Turf on Slopes

Yes, turf can be installed on slopes; but it requires proper anchoring and smart drainage design so the turf stays tight, secure, and clean-looking over time.

Turf Around Pools and Splash Zones

Yes. Pool-grade turf is designed for splash zones. With the right drainage plan and infill approach, turf can be a clean, comfortable surface around pools without looking like plastic.

Turf Education

Drainage and Monsoons: Turf That Works in Arizona

Turf can drain extremely well; but in Arizona monsoons, performance comes from correct grading and a properly built base, not the turf blades.

Does Artificial Turf Drain Well?

Yes; when the base is built correctly. Turf is only the finished surface. Real drainage performance comes from what is underneath: proper excavation, correct base material, compaction, and a graded plan that directs water where it should go.

How Turf Handles Arizona Monsoon Rain

Monsoon water moves through the system based on the base and grading; not the turf blade. If the site is prepared the right way, water sheds and drains quickly even during heavy bursts. If it is not, no turf product can “fix” it after the fact.

Will Turf Puddle After Rain?

It should not. Puddling usually points to one of two issues: the area was not graded correctly, or the base prep was rushed. With proper slope, compaction, and drainage planning, water does not sit on top.

Can Turf Cause Flooding?

No. Poor grading causes flooding. Turf does not “create” water problems; it reveals them. If an area already collects runoff, the fix is a correct grade and drainage solution, then turf on top of a properly built base.

Can Turf Be Installed in Low Spots?

Yes; but the low spot has to be corrected first. That usually means regrading, rebuilding the base, and sometimes adding a drainage plan so monsoon water has a path out. If you turf over a low area without fixing it, you are basically locking in the problem.

Heat & Comfort

How Artificial Turf Feels in Arizona Heat

Arizona summers are intense. Here’s what to expect with turf surface temperature; plus simple ways to make the space more comfortable.

Does Artificial Turf Get Hot in Summer?

Yes. In direct summer sun, artificial turf can heat up similar to concrete or pavers. That’s normal for most outdoor surfaces in Arizona.

Can Turf Burn Bare Feet?

In extreme heat, yes. Just like patios and pool decks, turf can become uncomfortable without shade or cooling strategies.

How Do You Reduce Turf Heat?

The best options are lighter turf colors, smart infill selection, adding shade (structures or trees), and occasional misting during peak heat.

Is Turf Cooler Than Gravel?

Often, yes; especially with shade. Gravel tends to retain and radiate heat longer, while turf can feel more comfortable when shaded and cooled.

Lifespan and Warranties: What to Expect in Arizona

Quality artificial turf is built for desert conditions; but longevity and warranty protection depend heavily on proper installation and use.

How Long Does Artificial Turf Last in Arizona?

When installed correctly, quality artificial turf typically lasts 15–20 years in Arizona. The key factors are base preparation, drainage, and choosing turf designed for high UV exposure.

Does Turf Fade in the Arizona Sun?

Quality, UV-stabilized turf is designed to resist fading even under constant sun exposure. Lower-grade products may discolor faster, especially in full sun areas.

What Warranties Come with Artificial Turf?

Most manufacturers offer 10–15 year warranties on the turf material itself, with separate workmanship coverage tied to the installer. Both are important for long-term protection.

What Voids a Turf Warranty?

Warranties can be voided by improper installation, poor base prep, or misuse. That is why following manufacturer guidelines and using experienced installers matters.

Can Artificial Turf Be Repaired?

Yes. One advantage of turf systems is repairability. Individual sections can be removed and replaced without redoing the entire area, keeping the surface looking clean and uniform.

Quick Reset

A Yard That Stays Clean; Even in Arizona

When turf is built as a complete system, it stays flat, drains right, and looks finished year-round. No muddy patches; no dead spots; no weekend maintenance marathon.

  • Engineered base; never dirt
  • Monsoon-ready drainage planning
  • Pet-friendly; easy cleanup
  • Clean seams; natural finish

Maintenance & Care

Keeping Turf Looking Sharp Long-Term

Artificial turf is low maintenance; not zero maintenance. A few simple habits keep it clean, upright, and looking natural year-round.

Is Artificial Turf Maintenance-Free?

It is low maintenance; but not zero maintenance. You are not mowing or watering like natural grass, but you still want basic cleaning and occasional grooming.

Does Turf Need to Be Brushed?

Yes, especially in high-traffic areas. Brushing helps the fibers stand up, keeps the surface looking natural, and reduces the “matting” that can happen over time.

Does Infill Need to Be Replaced?

Eventually, after many years. Infill can settle or migrate over time, especially in heavy-use zones; topping off or refreshing infill helps maintain performance and feel.

Can Turf Be Pressure Washed?

Yes, carefully. Use a wide fan tip, keep distance, and avoid blasting seams or edges. For most homes, rinsing and light washing is plenty.

Will Turf Stain?

Most spills clean easily. Quick rinsing and mild cleaning is usually enough; especially for food, drinks, and everyday messes.

Turf Education

Soil, Grading, and Landscape Integration in Arizona

Arizona soil conditions and landscape features change how turf should be installed. The base, grading, and drainage plan are what make turf look clean and stay stable long-term.

Does Arizona Soil Affect Turf Installation?

Yes. Arizona soil conditions make proper base prep critical. The goal is a stable, compacted base that supports the turf evenly, drains correctly, and holds up through heat cycles and monsoons.

Will Caliche Soil Cause Turf Problems?

Only if it is not addressed during installation. Caliche can be extremely hard and uneven. The fix is correct excavation, grading, and a properly built base that prevents water from getting trapped.

Can Turf Be Installed Near Retaining Walls?

Yes, with drainage planning. Retaining walls can concentrate runoff, so the grade and base need to direct water away, not into the wall line where it can pool or soften the base.

Can Turf Be Installed Around Trees?

Yes, with root-zone considerations. We plan transitions so turf sits cleanly around the tree while allowing for healthy root zones and water access where needed.

Will Tree Roots Damage Turf?

Rarely, when installed correctly. Most root-related issues come from poor planning or ignoring grade changes around mature trees. With smart spacing and proper base build, turf stays stable.

Can Turf Be Combined with Desert Landscaping?

Yes. Turf pairs extremely well with desert landscaping because it creates a clean, green “anchor zone” while keeping the rest of the yard low-water and Arizona-friendly.

Can Turf Replace Gravel Yards?

Yes. Turf is cooler and cleaner than gravel for everyday use. It reduces loose rock tracking, gives you a softer surface to walk on, and makes the yard feel more usable for families and pets.

Appearance Over Time

How Turf Looks After Real Use

The long-term look of turf depends on material quality and maintenance habits. Here’s what to expect after years of real-world use.

Does Artificial Turf Look Fake?

Cheap turf does. Higher-quality turf uses better fiber shape, color variation, and density to create a more natural appearance.

Will Turf Flatten Over Time?

Some wear is normal in high-traffic areas. Occasional brushing lifts the fibers back up and restores a more natural look.

Will Turf Look Good After Years of Use?

Yes. With proper installation and basic maintenance, quality turf continues to look good for many years in Arizona conditions.

Seasonal and Weather Questions: Install Any Time of Year

Arizona weather is intense, but turf installation is not limited to a “perfect season.” With the right process, turf can be installed year-round and built to handle heat and winter conditions.

Can Turf Be Installed Year-Round in Arizona?

Yes; even in summer. Turf installation is a controlled build process. As long as excavation, base prep, grading, and seam work are done correctly, season does not stop the project.

Does Heat Affect Installation?

Heat changes how materials behave, so installers account for expansion. Proper layout, seam technique, and tensioning are part of building a turf surface that stays tight, smooth, and stable in extreme temperatures.

Does Cold Weather Affect Turf?

No. Turf handles Arizona winters well. Cold snaps here are typically mild compared to other climates, and turf systems remain stable and usable through the season.

  • Low maintenance routine; high-end appearance
Environment & Health

Water Savings and Cleaner Yard Habits

Turf is a practical Arizona choice when you want less water use, fewer chemicals, and a backyard that stays usable in real life.

How Much Water Does Turf Save in Arizona?

Typically around 40,000 to 60,000 gallons per year, depending on yard size and how often your irrigation ran before.

Is Artificial Turf Environmentally Friendly?

Yes. The biggest impact is major water savings, plus you can avoid routine fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides.

Does Turf Require Fertilizer or Pesticides?

Never. Turf does not need fertilizing or chemical lawn treatments to stay green and presentable.

Is Turf Recyclable?

Some products are recyclable at end of life. Availability depends on material type and local recycling options.

Does Turf Harbor Bacteria?

Not when the system drains properly and is cleaned as needed. Good drainage and basic rinsing keep turf hygienic.

Turf Education

HOA, Permits, and Local Regulations

Turf installation is usually straightforward in Arizona, but HOA rules and local guidelines still matter. Knowing them upfront keeps projects smooth and delay-free.

Do Arizona HOAs Allow Artificial Turf?

Most do. Many Arizona HOAs allow artificial turf as part of water-conscious landscaping, though some have guidelines on color, edging, or layout to maintain community standards.

Are Permits Required for Turf Installation?

Usually no. Turf installation typically does not require permits in Arizona. However, projects tied to grading changes, retaining walls, or drainage modifications may have separate requirements.

Contractor & Estimates

What to Look For Before You Hire a Turf Installer

Pricing on turf varies for a reason. The best way to protect your money is knowing what a complete estimate should include.

Should Turf Installers Be Licensed and Insured?

Yes; always. Licensing and insurance protect you if something goes wrong and help ensure you are hiring a legitimate contractor.

What Should Be Included in a Turf Estimate?

A real turf estimate includes removal, base prep, turf, seams, infill, drainage planning, and a clear warranty. If those are missing, you are not comparing apples to apples.

Why Do Turf Prices Vary So Much?

Installation quality varies; a lot. The biggest differences are base prep, compaction, drainage details, and finishing work like edges and seams.

Should Drainage Be Included in the Quote?

Yes. If drainage is not addressed, that is a red flag. Turf is a system; drainage is part of what makes it last.

Myths and Misconceptions: What Turf Really Does

A lot of turf “issues” are actually installation and drainage issues. Here’s what’s myth, what’s real, and what matters most in Arizona yards.

Myth: Turf Causes Flooding

It does not. Poor grading causes flooding. Turf is just the surface; if water has no path to drain or shed away, the yard will flood with or without turf. A correct grade and base plan solve the problem.

Myth: Turf Smells Permanently with Pets

Not true. Turf only becomes a long-term odor issue when the system underneath is built wrong. With proper drainage, correct infill, and basic rinsing, pet areas stay clean and manageable.

Myth: Turf Kills the Soil Underneath

No. Turf does not “kill” the soil. The area is simply covered and stabilized as part of a landscaping system, similar to pavers, decomposed granite, or gravel zones.

Myth: Turf Grows Mold or Mildew

Mold and mildew need trapped moisture. With proper drainage and a correctly built base, water does not sit in the system long enough to create that problem. Poor drainage is the real culprit.

Myth: Turf Attracts Snakes or Scorpions

In most cases, turf attracts less than grass or gravel. Pests tend to prefer shade, moisture, and hiding places. A clean, well-maintained yard with good borders and fewer void spaces is generally less inviting.

How to Get Your Turf Pricing & Exact Estimate

The next step is to use our turf pricing tool to get a ballpark range, then schedule an appointment so we can measure your yard and give you an exact price.

We have a pricing tool specifically for turf where you can click through the different turf types and plug in your square footage or your best estimate. It will show you a real time range of what your project might cost based on the turf weight and options you are looking at. That gives you a quick way to see if you are leaning toward 60 ounce, 80 ounce, putting green, or just a basic lawn.

Once you have that rough idea, the next move is to schedule an appointment. We will come out, walk the yard with you, take measurements, look at access and drainage, and talk through how you want to use the space. From there, we can put together a detailed, accurate quote based on your actual yard and the options you are interested in.

After you approve the plan, we get you on the schedule and handle everything from demo and base work to installation and cleanup. In a very short time, you go from fighting with real grass to having a clean, green, low maintenance turf yard that is ready to use year round.

AFTER YOUR TURF IS INSTALLED

Warranty, maintenance, and financing — what it looks like long term

We want you to know exactly what is covered, how to take care of your turf over time, and the different ways you can pay for the project.

Warranty
01 · Warranty

Straightforward turf & labor coverage

Two year labor warranty and a true ten year full replacement turf warranty from the manufacturer.

Our turf installs come with a two year labor warranty and a ten year full replacement material warranty from the manufacturer, not a heavily prorated one.

On the material side, the turf we use carries about a 10 year full replacement warranty. That is different from some of the 15, 16, or 17 year warranties you see advertised that end up being prorated like a car battery, where the manufacturer only covers part of the material after a certain amount of time. We prefer the straightforward 10 year coverage where the material is actually covered.

On top of that, we include a two year labor warranty on the installation. If anything comes up related to how it was installed during that time, we take care of it. After those two years, if there ever is a material issue down the road, you would be responsible for the labor, but the turf itself is covered by that manufacturer warranty.

In 20 years of doing this, we have only had to replace a handful of jobs, which says a lot about the products we choose. We test them ourselves, we use turf that is made to handle Arizona conditions, and if something does go wrong, we do our best to step in and make it right.

02 · Maintenance

Low maintenance, not “no” maintenance

Much less work than real grass, but it still needs a little care to keep that “new winter lawn” look.

Turf is very low maintenance compared to a real lawn, but it is not completely maintenance free and does need some attention over the years.

One of the big wins with turf is you are not mowing, watering, or overseeding every season. You do not have to worry about sprinklers, mud, or that transition between summer and winter grass. It also helps cut down on bugs and dirt because you are not dealing with bare soil and dying spots all the time.

That said, you will still want to power broom the turf and add infill from time to time, especially on the heavier, thicker products or in high traffic areas. If you do not keep enough infill in a 90 or 100 ounce turf, it can mat down over time. That is why we install more infill up front than a lot of companies and talk to you about what to expect long term.

Overall, turf is a lot less work than a natural lawn, but it is good to go into it knowing that you may need to freshen it up, clean it off, and add a little sand or infill here and there over the years. Take care of it a bit, and it will keep that “new winter lawn” look for a long time.

Financing
03 · Financing

Flexible ways to pay for your project

Finance the project, pay cash, or use a card — we keep it flexible so you are not boxed in.

We do offer financing options for turf projects, along with the ability to just cash flow the job if that works better for you.

If you want to spread the cost out, we have lenders we work with who can help you finance your turf install. That can be especially helpful if you are wrapping turf into a bigger yard project and you want to hang on to your cash a little longer or take advantage of a good interest rate. Sometimes financing is what lets you do the whole yard instead of a smaller patch.

A lot of people still choose to pay cash or use a credit card, and that is totally fine. We try to keep the payment side flexible so it does not get in the way of doing the project the way you really want it. The point is to give you options so you are not boxed into one way of paying.

If you were planning on a smaller project but realize that with financing you could knock out the entire yard, we are happy to help you look at that. The goal is to set things up so you can get as much done as makes sense for you without feeling like you are overextending yourself.
